Registration for Little Geminis or Jr Geminis Classes is $40 a month. Pre-registration can be paid here for a discounted rate of $30.
Drop-ins welcome, no partner necessary.
What to Wear
Shoes: Please wear no-scuff shoes that you can comfortably move around and turn in. You can wear dress shoes, heels (as long as you can dance in them) or flats. Please no tennis shoes. The choice is up to you. If you are interested purchasing Latin dance shoes please talk to Javier after class.
Apparel: Salsa is considered a great workout and you will soon see why. Please wear clothing that you can easily move, turn and breathe in. Athletic wear is encouraged but not required.

Class Descriptions
Beginner 1:
If you've never danced salsa or you are interested in brushing up on your basics (which every dancer needs), this is the class for you. You'll learn the beat of Salsa music, open and closed positions of Salsa frame, lead and follow language, and break down the basic step, Cucaracha, Cumbia and the Diamond Step. Then you will learn the men and women's inside and outside turns, basic turn patterns and cross body lead. After a few lessons you'll be ready to hit the dance floor with your new set of moves. Then it's up to you to practice, practice, practice!
Beginners 2:
This class is meant to build upon the foundation of the Beginner 1 series. Please have Beginner 1 mastered before moving onto this exciting series. Once you've got the basics down, it's time for you to move on to the next level. You’ll be introduced to the advanced basic (progressive basic) and simple footwork patterns. We'll start with the cross body lead with an inside turn and outside turn, then we'll work on the open break with a cross body lead and outside turn. The last combination will be a hammerlock, then with an open break cross body lead.
Intermediate:
In order for you to fully understand our intermediate steps and patterns, you should understand the rhythm of salsa music (knowing how to count to the music is helpful, too). You should be able to socially dance the Beginning 1 and 2 moves before moving on to this class. The patterns taught in this class will vary from month to month. You will learn new moves combining what you've learned from the hammerlock, open break, cross body lead, and more. Gemini is constantly working on new moves, so you'll never get bored in this class.
Sensual Bachata:
This exciting Bachata course is for all levels of Bachateros and Bachateras. In this class we will cover many variety of footwork patterns. The main focus will be on smooth and sensual movement between partners in order to truly encompass the spirit of Bachata. Though sensual styling is the majority of the class you will also learn Dominican style Bachata.
